With the aim - We develop world-class skills for a sustainable future and the good life, the Agricultural Administration drives education within youth high school, adapted high school, adult education, and vocational college. The agricultural schools Axevalla Hästcentrum, Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological Vocational College serve as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. Together with industry and researchers, the administration drives energy projects and cutting-edge experimental activities at the schools. The Agricultural Administration is part of the Västra Götaland Region.

On the outskirts of Skara, nestled in greenery and surrounded by rolling fields, lies Naturbruksskolan Uddetorp. We have 184 high school students and nearly 300 adult learners at the facility. The school is growing and is popular to apply to; we now need to strengthen our staffing within adult education in gardening.

Description

We are looking for someone who is development-oriented and goal-oriented, meticulous, and enjoys being in a changing everyday life alongside students and colleagues. You also have good theoretical and practical knowledge in floral subjects and gardening.

We place students and their knowledge development at the center. Therefore, you need to be responsive to their needs, conditions, and experiences and adapt your teaching accordingly. You should want to work on strengthening each student's self-confidence as well as their willingness and ability to learn. As a teacher, you should ensure that the education constitutes a whole for the students. You are characterized by openness, humility, and a strong desire for development and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Teaching on-site and remotely in gardening education regarding floristry, horticulture, and plant knowledge.
• You will be part of a team, and together with your colleagues in the team, you will be responsible for the implementation of adult education in gardening.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained florist and has good knowledge of cultivation, primarily cut flowers. Practical experience in the florist profession and the gardening industry is a requirement. You are interested in teaching in adult education and have good computer skills.

A valid driver's license B for manual transmission is a requirement.

You are flexible, goal-oriented, and have good collaboration skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Professional certificate or journeyman's certificate as a florist.
• Vocational teacher's degree or experience in teaching.
• Knowledge/experience of teaching via distance learning.

Conditions

The employment is a 12-month temporary position with a 100% employment rate. Start date February 1, 2026, or by agreement. To obtain employment within the school, a criminal record extract is required, which you can apply for via: School or preschool, e-service | Police Authority (polisen.se)
